The Telugu movie ‘Winner’, which starred south Indian superstar Sai Dharam Tej in main role, raked Rs 25 crore total worldwide box office collection in three weeks. The celluloid, which was released last month in Telugu speaking states, garnered an overall collection of Rs 21 crore at India’s box office. Performing well in overseas, the movie grossed Rs 4 crore in international market.
Directed by famous south Indian filmmaker Gopichand Malineni, the Telugu cinema registered a business of Rs 8.42 crore in Telangana and nearby regions. The celluloid earned Rs 11.73 crore in Andhra Pradesh. In first week, the film grossed Rs 1.75 crore in Vizag and Rs 5 crore in Nizam. The celluloid collected Rs 1.2 crore in Guntur, Rs 0.55 crore in Nellore and Rs 0.9 crore in Krishna region of the Andhra Pradesh state.
The movie exhibited excellent performance in the states other than Telugu speaking regions. In Karnataka, the celluloid received average response from the Kannada speaking audiences. The film minted Rs 1.25 crore in that region and expounded its box office business with the response gained in that state. The movie reported poor business in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Produced under the banner of ‘Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions’, the film ‘Winner’ minted an overall business of Rs 4 crore in international market. Showcasing good performance in north American country, the movie collected Rs 0.2 crore in United States. The celluloid did a business of Rs 0.15 crore from rest of the world.
