Latest Gujarati movie ‘Vitamin She’, which hit screens on February 24, reported average occupancy in cinema halls on the first and second day of its release. Faisal Hashmi’s directorial venture opened with 15% occupancy and minted around 0.1 crore on opening day. The celluloid witnessed hike in its earnings on Saturday with 17% occupancy in theatres.
As the movie has been released only in one language, it’s receiving limited response from the audiences in the state. Other Hindi films like Jolly LLB 2 and recently released Bollywood flick Rangoon are having a good hold in various multiplexes across the state. These movie have majorly hindered the box office journey of Vitamin She.
The romantic comedy drama has failed to create a great impression over the movie-watchers in Gujarat. The film, which is produced by Sanjay Raval, witnessed a limited response as it had no release in other states. Also the latest Bollywood films Running Shaadi, Chauhar, Irada and The Ghazi Attack, which released last week, have been divulging the audiences on small scale.
However, the movie Vitamin She is expected to show growth in its weekend days. The film has performed poorly in the overseas. The celluloid grossed zero business in the international market and collected very low worldwide income (including the domestic gross). Dhvanit Thaker, Bhakti Kubavat and Kurush Deboo starrer cinema is expected to collect around 0.3 crore in first week.
