Directed by famous Indian filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, recently released Bollywood movie ‘Trapped’ collected Rs 0.16 crore on sixth day of release. The film, which features Citylights fame Rajkumar Rao in main role, reported drop in its business and witnessed about 5% fall in the theatre occupancy on day 6. The movie faced declination in the audiences’ response on its first Wednesday at India’s box office.
Reporting a galloping success in opening weekend, the celluloid minted Rs 0.29 crore on 1st day. After garnering a decent income of Friday, the film collected Rs 0.46 crore on 2nd day of its release. The celluloid experienced a slight amelioration in its box office business on Sunday and bagged Rs 0.69 crore third day collection. Thus, the Hindi flick totalled Rs 1.44 crore earnings in weekend days.
After having a splendid weekend, the celluloid saw gradual drop in the business in following days. The movie garnered an income of Rs 0.25 crore on Monday. After grossing a decent collection on fourth day, the film collected Rs 0.21 crore Tuesday. The cinema, which features Geetanjali Thapa in significant role opposite Rajkumar Rao, grossed Rs 0.16 crore on sixth day of its release.
Till now, the Bollywood offering has pocketed an overall income of Rs 2.10 crore at India’s box office. The celluloid bagged zero income in overseas as it witnessed dull response in the foreign countries. As the newly released other cinemas affected the film’s business in domestic arena, the movie could collect Rs 2.1 crore total domestic gross in six days.
