Newly released Telugu movie Guru earned Rs 19 crore as its total box office collection in the first week of its release. In initial seven days, the south Indian film reportedly grossed Rs 11.85 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Releasing on more than 500 screens in the Telugu speaking regions, the Tollywood cinema raked big income in the domestic arena.
The celluloid commenced its box office journey with Rs 2.54 crore opening day box office business. On the same, the movie witnessed a huge response in overseas and bagged a total worldwide amount of Rs 4.10 crore. The Telugu offering showcased growth in its business on weekend days and minted an overall income of Rs 7.17 crore on Indian box office. The film reported a total worldwide collection of Rs 12.20 crore in initial three days of its release.
In the entire first week, Daggubati Venkatesh starrer latest flick exhibited a good performance and earned a huge monitory profit by getting steady response from audiences in cinema halls. The movie totalled a business of Rs 10.55 crore in the first week. Apart from this income in domestic market, the celluloid pocketed Rs 15.20 crore as its overall worldwide collection.
Featuring none other than the south Indian megastar in significant role, the Telugu movie faced massive box office competition with new films which released in second week. As the clash with latest cinemas impacted the business of the celluloid, it didn’t continue to rake income with a stagnant pace and reported a gradual drop in the theatre occupancy on following days.
