Directed by Jaibhim Kamble and Pramod Shrivastav, latest Marathi movie ‘Talav’ showcased dull performance in opening week. The movie, which stars Saurabh Gokhale, Priyanka Raut, Sanjay khapre, Navneet Phondke and Varsha Pawar in lead roles, witnessed about 5-9% occupancy in five days of its release in various cities of Maharashtra.
Hitting across around 200 screens in Maharashtra, the romantic action cinema got less response in Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Aurangabad and Satara. The celluloid reported dull occupancy in the cinema halls and multiplexes located in these mega cities of the state. Though it witnessed good occupancy on opening day, it experienced gradual decline in it on the following days.
As the newly released ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ has diverged a great number of audiences in cinema halls, the Marathi flick is facing a massive clash at box office with the Hindi movie. Till now, the film has earned around Rs 0.18 crore total box office collection in India. Apart from the average income in domestic arena, the movie received no response in the overseas.
The celluloid is expected to bring smile back on the faces of filmmakers as no Marathi film will be released in coming two weeks. The movie has a great chance on maintaining stagnant response of people and collecting a steady income in coming days. The film ‘Talav’ is expected to earn Rs 0.51 crore in two weeks. Latest box office figures are awaited.
