Taapsee Pannu starrer latest Hindi flick ‘Running Shaadi’ minted an overall collection of Rs 0.96 crore in 11 days. The comedy drama, which has been directed by Indian filmmaker Amit Roy, also performed well in overseas where it made a total business of Rs 0.12 crore. The celluloid, which is based on the story of a matrimonial website, has totalled Rs 1.08 crore worldwide business.

The film hit screens in India on February 17 and kicked off its box office journey with an opening day collection of Rs 0.16 crore. The celluloid remained stagnant in earning the similar amount on Saturday and Sunday. The movie raked Rs 0.60 crore overall collection (including the movie’s earnings in foreign countries) in weekend days.

The comedy movie, which also stars Amit Sadh and Arsh Brij in major characters, performed excellently in overseas. The cinema registered a business of A$1,322 in Australia and $USD 15,488 in United States of America. The movie collected an amount of 4,957 Pounds in United Kingdom and grossed 215 NZ Dollars in New Zealand.

Running Shaadi witnessed less occupancy in cinema halls due to the simultaneous releases of other Bollywood flicks. The movie faced a major box office competition with Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB and Shahid Kapoor’s Rangoon. It also confronted with Irada, Chauhar and the multilingual Indian film ‘The Ghazi Attack’ at India’s box office. The celluloid is expected to report gradual drop in its earnings in coming days.
