Amit Sadh’s latest Hindi movie ‘Running Shaadi’, which also stars Arsh Brij and Taapsee Pannu in prominent roles, raked an overall collection of Rs 0.6 crore in 8 days. The movie stopped getting response in Indian theatres as the new Bollywood movie ‘Rangoon’ has started driving the attention of audiences towards its screening in the cinema halls.
On day 8, the movie based on the story of a matrimonial website witnessed very low occupancy in Maharashtra. Also in the northern states like Punjab, Haryana and the nearby areas, the celluloid showcased dull performance in the multiplexes. The movie reported no occupancy in southern India as Singam 3 has already engaged a major chunk of movie-watchers.
With the release of Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan starrer Hindi flick, a big number of audience has been divulged and other Indian cinemas are observing a steep declination in the response from spectators. Amit Roy’s directorial venture has been registering its daily income in some lacs throughout the eight days of its releases.
Not only the newly released Rangoon but also Subhash Kapoor’s Jolly LLB 2 has been the major box office competitor of movie ‘Running Shaadi’. However, the romantic comedy drama failed to enter single digit box office earnings in first week. The movie has also not succeeded in grossing a good amount in foreign countries. The celluloid has reported a worldwide total box office business of Rs 0.6 crore till now.
