Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut starrer latest Hindi celluloid ‘Rangoon’ exhibited declination in its box office earnings on 8th day. The multi-starrer cinema raked Rs 0.1 crore on second Friday. Till now, the film has made a business of Rs 19 crore in India. The movie has collected Rs 33.85 crore in the overseas in eight days.
On day 8, Vishal Bhardwaj’s cinema experienced box office clash with newly released Bollywood flick ‘Commando 2 : The Black Money Trail’. ‘Rangoon’ movie reported about 3-4% occupancy on 2nd Friday and minted Rs 10 lacs on that day. The film received less response from audiences in cinema halls on 3rd March as Vidyut Jamwal’s movie hit screens on the same day.
The movie had a normal opening in previous with Rs 6.09 crore opening day collection. Income of the celluloid remained stagnant in first week as the film minted Rs 6 crore and Rs 6.1 crore on 2nd and 3rd day, respectively. Business of this romantic drama cinema dropped sharply on Monday and the film raked an amount of Rs 1.3 crore collection on 4th day.
On 5th day, Rangoon film registered a business of Rs 1.2 crore and showcased consistency in the daily earnings at box office. The movie reported declination in box office collection on 6th day and grossed Rs 1 crore amount. On 7th day, the celluloid pocketed Rs 0.9 crore. The movie garnered a total income of Rs 17.19 crore in first week.
Exhibiting average performance in overseas, Rangoon movie grossed a total collection of Rs 7.45 crore in foreign countries. The film collected Rs 2.07 crore in North America (Canada and United States), Rs 3.11 crore in United Arab Emirates, Rs 0.41 crore in United Kingdom, Rs 0.36 crore in Australia, Rs 0.1 crore in New Zealand, Rs 0.04 crore in Malaysia and Rs 1.37 crore in rest of the world.
