Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor starrer Bollywood movie ‘Rangoon’, which also features Saif Ali Khan in pivotal role, minted Rs 90 lacs on 7th day of its release. Exhibiting consistency in poor performance in the first week, the celluloid raked a total business of Rs 21.47 crore in seven days. The movie amassed a total domestic approx gross of Rs 29.82 crore.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial venture showcased declination in its business after the weekend days. The movie pocketed Rs 6.09 crore, Rs 6 crore and Rs 5 crore on 1st, 2nd and 3rd day, respectively. On Monday, the film reported a sharp drop in its box office collection and registered a business of Rs 1.3 crore.
The celluloid collected Rs 1.2 crore and Rs 1 crore on 5th and 6th day, respectively. The box office journey of this movie has been quite saddening for the filmmakers who were expecting their movie to earn around 30 crore in opening weekend. The film is now disaster at box office and is expected earn decent income in coming days.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, the ‘Rangoon’ movie made a business of Rs 7.46 crore in the international market. Showcasing average performance in the overseas, the celluloid collected Rs 2.07 crore in north America, Rs 0.41 in United Kingdom, Rs 3.11 crore in United Arab Emirates, Rs 0.36 crore in Australia, Rs 0.1 crore in New Zealand, Rs 0.04 crore in Malaysia and Rs 1.37 crore in rest of the world.
