Rangoon, which is a latest Bollywood film directed by popular Indian filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, minted a total collection of Rs 20.57 crore in five days. The movie raked an amount of Rs 1.2 crore as its fifth day box office collection. In overseas, the film registered a business of Rs 7.46 crore and grossed a worldwide overall income of Rs 36.03 crore.
Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan starrer celluloid commenced its journey at box office with Rs 6.07 crore opening day collection. The film showcased stagnancy in its earnings and pocketed Rs 6 crore on Saturday. The cinema minted similar amount of collection on third day, which was Sunday. The movie grossed a total income of Rs 18.07 crore in weekend days.
On Monday, Rangoon movie witnessed a sharp declination in its business and collected Rs 1.3 crore on 4th day. The film garnered slightly less income on Tuesday and minted Rs 1.2 crore as 5th day collection. In India, the movie has collected Rs 28.57 crore total approx domestic gross. The celluloid is expected to seen hike in the income in second week.
Shahid Kapoor’s film exhibited excellent performance in overseas. The celluloid minted Rs 2.07 crore in north American countries (United States and Canada), Rs 3.11 crore in United Arab Emirates, Rs 0.04 crore in Malaysia, Rs 0.1 crore in New Zealand, Rs 0.36 crore in Australia, Rs 0.41 crore in United Kingdom and Rs 1.37 crore in rest of the world.
