Diljit Dosanjh’s latest Bollywood movie ‘Phillauri’ earned Rs 2.02 crore box office collection on fourth day of its release. The celluloid witnessed about 40% drop in the occupancy on Monday and showcased comparatively poor performance on day 4. Till now, the film has garnered an overall business of Rs 17.27 crore on Indian box office.
Directed by Anshai Lal, the Hindi offering received low response on 4th day. The celluloid, which features Anushka Sharma in lead role opposite Diljit, experienced a box office clash with ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ in four days. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer newly released romantic cinema still has a good hold in the cinema halls and has minted Rs 108.89 crore total collection.
Produced by the actress herself, ‘Phillauri’ movie started its journey at box office with Rs 4.02 crore opening day box office collection. The Bollywood flick reported growth in its business on 2nd day and grossed Rs 5.20 crore income on Saturday. Again experiencing hike in the earnings on Sunday, the film registered a business of Rs 6.03 crore on 3rd day of its release.
Apart from the whopping business in India, the movie also excelled in the overseas. The film earned Rs 1.69 crore in North American countries, Rs 2.37 crore in United Arab Emirates, Rs 0.72 crore in United Kingdom, Rs 0.52 crore in Australia, Rs 0.009 crore in Germany, Rs 0.01 crore in Malaysia and Rs 0.21 crore in New Zealand. The celluloid pocketed Rs 29.52 crore total worldwide box office collection in four days.
