Ram K Chandran’s first project of 2017 – Pagadi Aattam has made a mere single digit business in six days after its official release on 17th February. The latest Tamil flick has been facing box office competition with other south Indian cinemas like Kadhal Kan Kattuthe, Rum and Ennodu Vilayadu which hit screens on the same date last week.
Akhil starrer new celluloid has completed one week with today’s shows and is expected gross some lacs as its collection on day 7. As per Dekh News, the cyber-crime thriller opened on decent note with Rs 4.20 lacs opening day collection. The film saw declination in its business and ended up on Saturday with Rs 3.6 lacs as second day earnings.
Hitting across hundreds of screens in Telugu speaking states, the celluloid witnessed increment in its income on Sunday and grossed Rs 5.1 lacs on 3rd day. The movie, which also starred Monica, Rahman, Gowri Nandha, Surendar and Akhil in the lead roles, reported drop in its earnings on Monday. The movie’s business failed to maintain consistency with the commencement of second week of its release.
The celluloid witnessed around 5 to 7 % occupancy in cinema halls and registered Rs 2 lacs and Rs 3 lacs as its 4th and 5th day collections. As Suirya starrer Singam 3 divulged a big number of audiences towards it and reported more occupancy than other Tamil films, Pagadi Aattam didn’t succeed in driving satisfactory response from the spectators.
On day 7 (23rd February 2017), the witnessed much less occupancy in cinema halls and experienced similar kind of response from the movie-watchers in noon, evening and night shows of it. The celluloid is expected see more drop in the public response in theatres as new Tamil movies – Yaman, Kanavu Variyam and Muthuramalingam, which are set to release tomorrow, will turn the millions of eyeballs from today onward in the theatres.
