Tollywood actor Nagarjuna Akkineni’s latest Telugu movie Om Namo Venkatesaya opened to a decent occupancy on 13th day of its release. K Raghavendra Rao directed film witnessed dull response from audiences in its second week of release. The celluloid raked average box office collection in Telugu speaking states on 2nd Thursday.
The movie has no scope of earning a good amount in north and central Indian regions where the Bollywood films – Running Shaadi, Chauhar, The Ghazi Attack, Irada and Jolly LLB 2 have already divulged a big number of audiences in cinema halls. The celluloid, which also stars Anushka Shetty, Jagapati Babu, Saurabh Raj Jain in lead role alongside Nagarjuna witnessed zero occupancy in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
While the Telugu flick has scored a good box office number in Telugu speaking states. In Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Nagarjuna’s latest film has minted a box office amount in some lacs. The movie kicked off its journey with Rs 70.8 lacs collection in these states. The film witnessed hike in its collection as it made a business of Rs 72.75 lacs on 2nd day.
On third day of release, the cinema experienced more surge in its earnings and grossed Rs 87.80 lacs. The audiences’ response dropped to less number on day 4 and the celluloid garnered an income of Rs 16.46 lacs. Again on next day, the film’s earnings declined and the movie reported box office business of Rs 13.92 lacs on 5th day.
The movie registered a business of Rs 3.07 lacs on sixth day and didn’t see further surge in its income. Total income earned by the film in first week of release is Rs 2.65 crore. In second week of its release, the movie performed comparatively dull and made a business of Rs 30,000. On day 13, the movie is expected earn around Rs 4,000 collection.
