The performed outstandingly in central and northern India as the lead heroine has immense fan following in those regions. The Bollywood flick has minted Rs 26.05 crore total business in six days.
Surpassing the overall earnings of Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Phillauri’, which grossed Rs 22.76 crore in thirteen days, Manoj Bajpayee movie achieved fifth position in the list of highest earner cinemas of year 2017. The prequel of ‘Baby’ film, which also features Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in cameo appearance, is set to enter Rs 30-crore club as its overall income across in this week.
The multi-starrer flick, which also stars legendary actor Anupam Kher in significant role, commenced its journey on Indian box office with Rs 5.12 crore opening day collection. Minting Rs 6.37 crore on second day of its release, the movie showcased growth in its business. Further witnessing an amelioration in the income, the celluloid collected Rs 7.27 crore on Sunday.
After bagging an amount of Rs 18.66 crore in three days, the Hindi offering reported drop in its business on fourth day. The film amassed Rs 2.54 crore income on 4th day of its release. Seeing a slight drop in the theatre occupancy as well as box office business on Tuesday, the celluloid raked Rs 2.50 crore income on fifth day. On sixth day, the movie earned Rs 2.25 crore collection.
Apart from this splendid performance in domestic arena, Taapsee Pannu’s third movie of 2017 minted Rs 4 crore in overseas. Witnessing an average response in international market, the film registered a business of Rs 2.15 crore in United Arab Emirates. The celluloid grossed Rs 1.02 crore in North American countries, Rs 0.18 crore in UK, Rs 0.14 crore in Australia, Rs 0.05 crore in New Zealand and Rs 0.46 crore from rest of the world.
