Newly released Bollywood movie ‘Naam Shabana’ reportedly minted Rs 5.05 crore income on the first day of its release. The celluloid, which stars Manoj Bajpayee and Taapsee Pannu in main lead, witnessed about 15% occupancy in cinema halls on Friday. With a big hike in the box office earnings on day 2, the Hindi flick is expected to make a business of Rs 7 crore on Saturday.
Hitting more than 2000 screens in India, the Bollywood offering started its journey with average responses from the audiences. The movie showcased awesome performance in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Reports suggests that the celluloid witnessed maximum occupancy in those states. The film also performed well in central Indian regions.
Being a multilingual celluloid, which has been dubbed in Telugu and Tamil languages, it garnered a good response in Tamil as well as Telugu speaking states. Bagging a satisfactory revenue in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, the movie exhibited excellent performance in south Indian arena.
