Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra, Saptagiri and Raja Ravindra starrer latest Telugu movie ‘Maanagaram’ collected Rs 1.2 crore on first day. The film, which has also been released Tamil language with title ‘Nagaram’, showcased average performance in south Indian regions. Directed by famous filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie grossed a total domestic collection of Rs 1.32 crore on opening day.
The movie released on 10th March and received positive response from audiences. The film got mixed review from critics and witnessed around 15% occupancy on the day of its release. In morning shows on Friday, the film reported 12% occupancy and witnessed surge in it in noon and evening shows on the same day.
‘Maanagaram’ movie is receiving good response in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. It witnessed highest number of footfalls in the cinema halls and multiplexes located in mega cities like Chennai, Hyderabad and Vijaywada. Sudeep Kishan’s film is expected to collect about 5 crore income in the first weekend.
As the double version of the movie is not facing box office competition with any Telugu and Tamil film, it is exhibiting a good performance in cinema halls. The action thriller flick, which has been produced under the banner of ‘A K S Entertainments’, has showcased an average performance in the overseas.
