Telugu movie ‘Katamarayudu’, which released on last Friday (24th March) grossed Rs 2.90 crore collection on 7th day. The south Indian flick featuring Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Hassan in main lead faced box office clash with Naam Shabana 1st day collection on 31st March and received comparatively low response from the audiences. The movie has bagged Rs 49.85 crore total income in first week.

The action-comedy offering has been a consistent performer on Indian box office in last seven days. As it starred megastar actor of Tollywood industry in lead role, the movie grossed huge business in opening weekend. Releasing on more than 1000 screens in Telugu speaking states, the film started its business with Rs 22.25 crore collection at box office on opening day.

Number of footfalls in cinema halls seemed to be declined on Saturday as the celluloid raked Rs 5.10 crore income on 2nd day of release. Witnessing growth in its box office collection on Sunday, the Telugu flick earned Rs 8.90 crore amount on day 3. Grossing a big revenue in first-three days, the south Indian offering totalled Rs 70 crore overall worldwide business.

Reporting a drop of 55% than Sunday, the celluloid garnered Rs 4 crore income on 4th day of release. Facing no clash with any other Tollywood cinema in the several multiplexes, the movie continued to gain an average response from the spectators and collected Rs 3.50 crore income on 5th day. The cinema bagged a total collection of Rs 43.75 crore in five days.

After pocketing a whopping amount of Rs 80 crore worldwide income, the movie showcased slightly poor performance on sixth day of its release. The Telugu flick minted Rs 3.20 crore collection on sixth day. Witnessing as usual declination in the box office income on Thursday, the celluloid amassed an amount of Rs 2.90 crore on 7th day of its release. The movie is expected to perform well in cinema halls in second weekend.
