The movie Jolly LLB 2, which is the second part of Arshad Warsi starrer Jolly LLB, raked a business of Rs 0.07 crore on 30th day of its release. The multi-starrer courtroom drama witnessed 6% occupancy on 5th Saturday. The celluloid, which stars Akshay Kumar, Huma Qureshi, Anu Kapoor, Sayani Gupta and Saurabh Shukla in lead roles, minted a total collection of Rs 115.53 crore in 30 days.
Subhash Kapoor’s directorial venture reported drop in the box office earnings after it entered into third week. The film, which commenced its journey at box office with whopping Rs 13.2 crore first day collection, made Rs 17.31 crore collection on second day. Witnessing more hike in the income, the celluloid registered a business of Rs 19.95 crore on third day of release.
After bagging an amount of Rs 50.46 crore in first weekend, the cinema observed declination in its earnings in next week. The movie collected Rs 46.47 crore in second week and failed to enter the 50-crore club with the box office collection grossed in those seven days. With the release of new Hindi cinemas, box office competition for Jolly LLB 2 increased and the film pocketed Rs 8.52 crore in third week.
In fourth week, the flick produced under the banner of ‘Star Fox Studios’ witnessed box office clash with Vidyut Jamwal’s ‘Commando 2 : The Black Money Trail’ and made a business of Rs 2.35 crore in that week. Further seeing drop in the earnings, the film’s business dropped in fifth week. Apart from the business of Rs 115.53 crore in domestic arena, the second installment of Jolly LLB franchise grossed a total collection of Rs 34.79 crore in overseas.
