Bollywood movie ‘Irada’ grossed a total box office collection of Rs 0.85 crore in eleven days. The film, which is a story of investigation of a crime, performed well in domestic market. The multi-starrer celluloid, which features Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Sagarika Ghatge in lead roles, made a worldwide total business of Rs 0.98 crore till now.
Hitting across more than hundreds of screens in Indian cinema halls, the film bagged Rs 0.12 crore on opening day. After registering an overall business of Rs 0.57 crore in opening weekend, the film witnessed decent occupancy in theatres in following days. The cinema received low response form the audiences as it faced box office clash with the newly released Hindi films Jolly LLB 2 and Rangoon.
Showcasing an average performance in the overseas, the movie reported stagnancy in its earnings and minted $USD 13,112 (Rs 0.09 crore) in United States of America. The Bollywood flick exhibited development in its income by pocketing $USD 1,855 (0.01 crore) in the weekend days of its second week. The film grossed a total business of Rs $USD 19,112 (0.13 crore) in the international market.
The Bollywood film, which has been directed by Aparnaa Singh, is expected see gradual declination in the footfalls of movie-goers in theatres. Produced by Falguni Patel and Prince Soni, the celluloid seems to earn a little income in second week as no film of a superstar is hitting screens in this week.
