‘Chak De India’ fame Sagarika Ghatge starrer fresh Hindi movie ‘Irada’ has been a severe drop in its business in the second week. The movie witnessed quite dull occupancy on 8th day of its release. With the multi-starrer cinema ‘Rangoon’ hitting screens on 24th February, attention of audiences has been diverted from the other cinemas.
‘Irada’ is one of those movies whose business got impacted with the release of Saif Ali Khan’s latest Bollywood flick. Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi starrer ‘Irada’ experienced miserable response from the movie-watchers on 2nd Friday. The celluloid witnessed zero occupancy in cinema halls and registered no income on day 8.
Throughout eight days of its release, the movie made a phenomenal business of Rs 0.57 crore. The film performed well in weekend days of first week and started getting low response from the audiences in its second week. Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi’s Jolly LLB 2 majorly affected the flick’s performance in all days of its release.
‘Irada’ managed to bag Rs 0.57 crore in domestic arena while it failed to register a good business in overseas. Though the movie narrated a mysterious story, spectators didn’t respond to the movie in theatres. As the film is facing a tough competition with other Hindi cinemas, its business is expected to decline with its poor performance in this week.
