Aparnaa Singh directed Irada reported 8% occupancy in theatres on 6th day of its release. The film raked a total box office collection of Rs 0.59 crore in six days. Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Sagarika Ghatge starrer Hindi flick has been competing with newly released The Ghazi Attack, Running Shaadi and Chauhar at Indian box office.
Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi starrer courtroom drama too has been the main competitor of Irada which is produced by Falguni Patel and Prince Soni. The film witnessed a decent occupancy in morning shows. In the noon sessions of the film release, quite less footfalls were observed and the occupancy dropped on little scale.
The movie is expecting a hike in the evening shows. The film, which is based on the story of investigating the death of the state CM’s daughter in a mysterious bomb blast in a business tycoon’s factory, might haven’t been liked by the audiences and hence a minimum response for the cinema is being witnessed in the theatres.
Irada opened on a decent note on February 17 and reported small occupancy on day 1 (Friday). The filmmakers had expected a culmination in the movie’s business in weekend days, but the celluloid kept on acquiring a stagnant response from the movie-watchers. On 1st Monday, the film couldn’t make much impressive business.
On 1st Tuesday, Irada reported a declined response from the public and earned 5th day collection in some lacs. Till now, the movie has grossed a total income of Rs 0.59 crore. Thought the movie features veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in lead role, the cinema has witnessed a sharp declination in its earnings throughout initial six days of its releases.
