Kicha Sudeep starrer latest Kannada movie ‘Hebulli’ has completed five days in Indian cinema halls and has made a total business of Rs 35.1 crore in 5 days. The film has been performing well at box office since the day of its release. The Sandalwood celluloid, which hit screens on 24th February this year, collected Rs 4 crore amount at box office on 5th day.
The celluloid witnessed about 12% occupancy in south Indian regions, specially in Karnataka. As the movie has been released in only Kannada language, it didn’t grab the audiences’ attention in other south Indian states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The action thriller cinema was released on 500 screens in Kannada speaking state.
Releasing on Friday last week, south Indian filmmaker Krishna’s directorial venture opened to about 30% occupancy and minted Rs 9.5 crore first day collection. The film’s business declined on following days. Sudeep’s action movie grossed Rs 7.5 crore on 2nd day. The celluloid witnessed steady income on next two days and registered the business of Rs 6 crore and Rs 8 crore on 3rd and 4th day of its release.
The multi-starrer Kannada flick not only raked a good income in domestic arena but also pocketed average amount in the overseas. This movie, which also features Amala Paul and V Ravichandran in lead roles alongside Sudeep, hit more than 200 screens in foreign countries and reported a total business of Rs 0.87 crore in the foreign countries.
