Latest Kannada movie ‘Hebulli’ reported a good occupancy on second day. After minting Rs 6.5 crore on opening day, the film acquired a average response from audiences on its 1st Saturday in Indian cinema. The new Sandalwood movie, which hit across 500 screens in Karnataka on February 23, showcased consistency in its business on the 2nd day.
The film seems to have gained good response because of its storyline which revolves around the surgical strike conducted by Indian army after the terrorist’s attack in Uri last year. The concept of celluloid received positive reviews from the critics as well as movie-watchers. The movie is expected earn 7 crore on second day of its release.
South Indian superstar Sudeep starrer film reported around 30% occupancy on opening day. The movie reported similar occupancy on following day and performed well in morning, noon and evening shows. On second day, Hebulli faced a box office clash with MG Srinivas starrer film ‘Srinivasa Kalyana’ which released on Saturday (25th February).
As no other version of Hebulli has been released by the filmmakers, the movie is not performing well in other states in southern India. Though the film has not exhibited much development in its box office business in India, the celluloid gained a good response in foreign countries. The movie is expected to earn Rs 4 crore in overseas in the weekend days.
