Kannada movie ‘Hebulli’ received dull response from audiences on 18th day of its release and witnessed about 1-2% occupancy in cinema halls. The movie earned poor income of day 18. Till now, the movie has collected Rs 45 crore total box office collection. Kicha Sudeep starrer latest Sandalwood flick is expected to enter 50-crore club in fourth week.
The celluloid, which kicked off its box office journey with Rs 6.5 crore, grossed a total income of Rs 22.50 crore in first week. The film received good response in weekend days and witnessed a gradual decline in the spectators’ footfalls in remaining days of the first week. The cinema, which is based on the surgical strikes conducted by Indian army in POK last year, also got good response in other south Indian states.
Hitting across more than hundreds of screens, filmmaker Krishna’s directorial venture reported average response in overseas. The Kannada flick minted an overall income of Rs 45 crore in domestic arena. The celluloid failed to break the record of Suriya, Shruti Hassan and Anushka Shetty starrer Telugu movie ‘Singam 3’, which earned Rs 78 crore at Andhra box office in three weeks.
With the release of new south Indian films, Hebulli faced massive competition at box office. The celluloid, which received mixed reviews from critics as well as audiences, couldn’t maintain consistency in the earnings. In the ongoing fourth week of release, the movie is competing at box office with the newly released Kannada cinemas – ‘Bengaluru Underworld’, ‘Vardhana’, ‘Prathima’, ‘Veera Ranachandi’ and ‘Real Police’.
