Swapnil Joshi’s latest Marathi flick titled ‘Fugay’ minted a total collection of Rs 5.80 crore in two weeks. The film, which hit screens on 10th February this year, opened on a decent note on 14th day of its release. The celluloid witnessed 0.7% occupancy in morning shows and failed to maintain consistency in it in the noon and evening shows on 3rd Friday.
The romantic comedy drama, which also features Subodh Bhave, Prarthana Behere, Neetha Shetty, Suhas Joshi and Mohan Joshi in lead roles, kicked off its box office journey with Rs 0.40 crore opening day collection. The movie witnessed culmination in its earnings on 2nd and 3rd day. The film registered a business of Rs 0.57 crore and Rs 0.87 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
After pocketing Rs 1.83 crore in weekend days, Swapna Waghmare Joshi directed Marathi film saw drop in its income on 4th day and garnered Rs 0.21 crore on 1st Monday. As the celluloid opened on 1st Tuesday, it showcased development in the business and bagged Rs 0.34 crore fifth day collection. With addition of movie’s earnings on 6th and 7th day, the total first week collection became Rs 2.38 crore.
The movie commenced its business in second week with Rs 0.31 crore 8th day collection. On the following day, Swapnil Joshi’s first film of year 2017 made a business of Rs 0.42 crore. On 2nd Sunday, the film’s business again hiked and it minted Rs 0.5 crore on 10th day. The celluloid maintained consistency in its earning by raking Rs 0.19 crore, Rs 0.14 crore and Rs 0.12 crore in the second weekend days.
