Total worldwide business, including overseas income in the earnings, was also reported to be satisfactory in the international market. Experiencing box office competition with parallelly released Hindi flick ‘Tera Intezaar’, which stars Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan and actress Sunny Leone in major roles, Kapil Sharma’s latest production received average response from the audiences in cinema halls across central and northern part of India. Produced under the banner of ‘K9 Films’, the latest film could not perform well in southern states of the country as newly released Tamil and Telugu cinemas had a good hold there.
Released on 25 September 2015, Kapil Sharma’s first movie ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu’ received grand welcome in the cinema halls. The celluloid commenced its box office journey on higher note and raked in a whopping income of Rs 10.15 crore on opening day. Maintaining consistency in the performance at Bollywood box office, the film recorded a business of Rs 28 crore in three days.
Featuring four actresses in leading role opposite the comedian, the Hindi language comedy cinema collected a total income of Rs 52 crore in three weeks. The movie with Rs 20 crore budget was called ‘Superhit’ by the trade analysts. Based on the love story, ‘Firangi’ was earlier scheduled to release on 24th November this year. As massive protests made the filmmakers of ‘Padmavati’ defer their movie’s release date, makers of ‘Firangi’ as well as ‘Tera Intezaar‘ postponed the releases.
