Latest Gujarat film ‘Duniyadari’ showcased poor performance in its opening week. Shital Shah’s comedy drama grossed about Rs 0.2 crore in three days. The film witnessed around 2% occupancy on 1st Sunday as other Bollywood movies like Jolly LLB 2, The Ghazi Attack and Rangoon have a good hold at several multiplexes in the state.

Malhar Thakar, Arjav Trivedi and Esha Kansara starrer new Gujarati celluloid also faced box office clash with other regional movies ‘Vitamin She’ and ‘Carry On Kesar’. The race for box office earnings with these two flicks has impacted the business of ‘Duniyadari’, which a remake of 2013’s Marathi film with same title.

The superhit Marathi film’s Gujarati remake reported quite low income in overseas. The celluloid was screened at minimum locations in overseas and thus, it garnered less collection in the international market. The flick has seen a stagnant earnings in the domestic arena. The movie is expected to earn about Rs 0.1 crore in its first week.

The film, which has been screened various mega cities in the state, reported around 2% occupancy in morning shows. In noon and evening shows, the celluloid witnessed a little hike in the occupancy. It reported around 3% occupancy in night shows and is expected to earn an income of Rs 0.01 crore in the local and regional cinema halls.
