Mahesh Manjarekar and Ashwini Bhave starrer latest Marathi movie Dhyanimani performed quite dull on 13th day of its release. The movie witnessed 0.4% occupancy in cinema halls as a huge number of audiences is preferring the new Marathi films – Gaon Thor Pudhari Chor, Ranjan, Journey Premachi and Hakk. Dhyanimani is expected to earn Rs 0.02 crore on its 2nd Thursday in Indian cinema.
Chandrakant Kulkarni directed celluloid opened to a decent note on its first day. The movie raked a collection of Rs 0.54 crore on opening day. As the second day of its release was Saturday, which is a weekend for Indian citizens, the film experienced hike in its earnings and registered a business of Rs 0.56 crore on 2nd day of its release.
While the third day was Sunday, a holiday for the citizens, Mahesh Manjarekar starrer flick witnessed around 12% occupancy and earned Rs 0.67 crore on day 3. The film rocked with highest earnings on that day and reported a sharp declination in its box office income on following day. The film earned Rs 0.17 crore amount as its fourth day collection.
The celluloid witnessed double growth in the earnings on fifth day and registered a business of Rs 0.38 crore. The movie raked a total collection of Rs 1.76 crore in weekend days and made a business of Rs 2.31 crore in first week. As the movie started facing tough competition with Jolly LLB 2, the film’s income declined with a sharp rate.
In the second week of release, the cinema grossed collections in some lacs. New Hindi cinemas as well as latest south Indian movies opened in multiplexes in that week. Thus, the audiences’ response for the film declined in Maharashtra prominently because of latest Bollywood films. Dhyanimani witnessed a steep drop in the public occupancy in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur.
