Latest action movie ‘Commando 2’, which hit screens on 3rd March 2017, witnessed around 10% occupancy in most of the multiplexes in India. The celluloid, which has been released on about 500 screens in India and 200 screens in overseas, opened on decent note in central and south India. The film is expected earn Rs 3 crore on first day of its release.

Though no movie of any big superstar is competing with the sequel of ‘Commando : A One Man Army’ at India’s box office, the celluloid minted less collection on opening day. The action thriller flick, which stars Vidyut Jamwal, Esha Gupta and Adah Sharma in lead roles, also performed poor in the foreign countries.

Directed by popular Indian filmmaker Deven Bhojani, the cinema witnessed around 7% occupancy in north Indian regions. While it reported poor response in central Indian states. As recently released south Indian flicks ‘Singam 3’ and the Telugu version of ‘The Ghazi Attack’ have a good hold in Telugu speaking states, the second installment of Commando franchise received less response from audiences.

The Hindi flick also faced a box office clash with last week released ‘Rangoon’ as well as Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Jolly LLB 2’. As these cinemas also are divulging a big number of movie-watchers, the movie produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah is showcasing a dull performance in the cinema halls. Commando 2 is expected to gross around Rs 10 crore in the first three weekend days.
