Gujarati film ‘Carry On Kesar’ has raked an overall collection of Rs 0.04 crore in two days. The film, which hit screens on 24th February, opened to a decent opening day occupancy. The celluloid reported around 2% occupancy on second day and experienced growth in the same in evening and night shows on its 1st Saturday in Indian cinemas.
The movie competed with adjacent releases ‘Vitamin She’ and ‘Duniyadari’ for the box office business. The clash with these cinemas affected the business of Vipul Mehta directed comedy celluloid. The fresh Gujarati flick, which stars Supriya Pathak, Darshan Jariwala and Avani Modi in lead roles, is expected earn around Rs 0.1 crore in weekend days.
The latest Bollywood releases also have impacted majorly on the new Gujarati movie ‘Carry On Kesar’. The celluloid is experiencing a box office competition with fresh movies like The Ghazi Attak, Jolly LLB 2 and Rangoon, which have a good hold in several multiplexes in the state. Therefore, the film has witnessed a dull occupancy in initial days of its release.
Though Vipul Mehta directed cinema has raked a decent collection in domestic arena, it has failed to register a good business in international market. The flick grossed zero earnings in foreign countries in first week. It has totalled an overall collection of Rs 0.05 crore worldwide collection. The movie is expected to maintain consistency in its business in coming days.
