Begum Jaan 1st Day Collection First Friday Morning Occupancy Box Office Report : Vidya Balan starrer newly released Hindi movie ‘Begum Jaan‘, which hit more than 1000 screens in India on 14th April 2017, witnessed whopping occupancy in morning shows on day 1. The celluloid, which also features Naseeruddin Shah, Gauhar Khan, Chunky Pandey and Adarsh Vidyarthi in main roles, is expected to make a business of Rs 7 crore on opening day.
Response for Taapsee Pannu and Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘Naam Shabana’ has declined in the second week which seems to have proved beneficial for the latest release as it is gaining immense response from audiences in cinema halls and multiplexes. ‘Begum Jaan‘ reported maximum occupancy in northern and central Indian states as the lead heroine has a massive fan following in those regions.
The celluloid witnessed decent occupancy in south India region as more than ten new movies have been released in those areas on this Friday. Thus, the movie is not succeeding in acquiring a big attention from the movie-goers in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam speaking states. Adjacently released Bollywood flick ‘Rishton Ki Saanjh’ started its box office journey on a decent note.
Apart from the clashes with Hindi offerings, the multi-starrer flick is also facing a huge box office competition with much awaited Hollywood movie ‘The Fate Of The Furious’ on this Friday. As the day is being celebrated as ‘Good Friday’, the film ‘Begum Jaan‘ is expected to see huge occupancy in multiplexes and theatres.
Vidya Balan’s movie will see drop in the occupancy in evening and night shows as a major chunk of audience is preferring to watch the ongoing cricket tournament of Indian Premier League. The same is impacting the box office businesses of all other cinemas which released in previous and present week. Receiving positive response and mixed reviews from the critics, the latest Hindi movie is expected to gross a total collection of Rs 25 crore in opening weekend.
