Produced by popular Indian filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ grossed Rs 7.25 crore box office collection on 9th day of its release. Witnessing around 25% occupancy in the cinema halls on 2nd Saturday, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer Hindi celluloid showcased improvement in its business and collected a total income of Rs 82 crore in nine days.
Newly released Bollywood films ‘Aa Gaya Hero’, ‘Machine’ and ‘Trapped’ failed to gain a huge response from audiences in theatres. The second installment of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ got benefited of this situation and exhibited growth in its box office earnings on its second Saturday in Indian cinema. Till now, the film has grossed Rs 115.15 crore overall collection in India.
The Hindi flick, which has been produced under the banner of ‘Dharma Productions’ by India’s famous producer Karan Johar, garnered a total worldwide amount of Rs 132.23 crore in nine days. The movie is about to complete ten days at India’s box office and it is not only expected to witness hike in the income but also expected to earn Rs 8 crore on its 2nd Sunday in Indian cinema.
Along with the splendid performance in domestic arena, the romantic film has bagged a handsome amount of Rs 18.91 crore box office collection in the overseas. Reporting an average business in the international market, the Hindi offering has pocketed a worldwide collection of Rs 132.23 crore. The celluloid is expected to enter 150-crore club by the end of its third week at India’s box office.
