Indian filmmaker Shashank Khaitan’s directorial project titled ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ registered a business of Rs 12.25 crore on fourth day of its release. The celluloid, which features Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in lead roles, raked a total box office collection of Rs 55.1 crore in four days. The movie reported around 15% occupancy on its release on 1st Monday in cinema halls.

Produced under the banner of ‘Dharma Productions’, the romantic love story of a couple commenced its journey at box office with an income of Rs 12.25 crore on opening day. The movie witnessed increment in the earnings on second day and registered a business of Rs 14.75 crore on Saturday. The film grossed a total amount of Rs 27 crore in two days.

After bagging a good box office collection on 2nd day, the celluloid experienced more hike in the occupancy as well as the earnings on 3rd day. The film minted Rs 16.05 crore on Sunday and totalled an amount of Rs 43 crore in the opening weekend. The movie, which has been produced by popular producer Karan Johar, reported slight drop in the earnings on next day.

Apart from the box office business in India, Varun and Alia’s film performed awesomely in overseas. Witnessing average occupancy in foreign countries in four days, the celluloid earned Rs 0.84 crore in Australia, Rs 0.07 crore in Germany, Rs 5.71 crore in North America, Rs 0.66 crore in New Zealand, Rs 1.44 crore in United Kingdom and Rs 0.02 crore in Malaysia.
