New Hindi movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, which has completed two weeks on Indian box office, reportedly collected Rs 1.20 crore on 18th day. The celluloid, which features Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in main roles, witnessed drop in the occupancy on its 3rd Monday in Indian cinema. Till now, the film has grossed Rs 108.89 crore box office collection.
Releasing on more than 1700 screens in India, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial project showcased fabulous performance in domestic arena. Kicking off the box office journey with Rs 12.25 crore opening day collection on 10th March, the Bollywood offering grossed a total income of Rs 43.05 crore in first weekend and achieved fourth rank in the list of highest grossing movies of 2017.
Produced by Karan Johar under the banner of his production company ‘Dharma Productions’, the cinema garnered Rs 77.23 crore income in the opening week. The Hindi flick exhibited stagnant performance in the second week. Witnessing a gradual drop in the theatre occupancy, Alia and Varun’s film raked an overall collection of Rs 26.79 crore in second week.
Alongside the whopping business at India’s box office, the second installment of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ franchise garnered satisfactory amount in the foreign countries. Amassing a good response from audiences, the celluloid registered a business of Rs 26.11 crore in international market. The movie bagged Rs 171.99 crore total worldwide collection in eighteen days.
