Produced under the banner of ‘Dharma Productions’, latest Bollywood movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ collected Rs 2.35 crore on 16th day of its release. The celluloid witnessed about 10-15% occupancy on its third Saturday in Indian cinema. Till now, the Hindi offering has minted Rs 104.44 crore overall box office collection in sixteen days.
The Hindi cinema, which has been directed by Shashank Khaitan, released in India on 10th March this year. Since the day of release, this Bollywood flick had an awesome journey at India’s box office. Opening with Rs 43.05 crore first weekend box office collection, the romantic love story based film showcased admirable performance in the weekend days.
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer movie performed outstandingly on following days. Exhibiting an appreciable improvement in earning a steady income in domestic arena, the celluloid influenced the audiences and received enormous response in cinema halls. The Hindi flick minted a collection of Rs 77.23 crore in initial seven days.
The film continued to gain a stagnant response in the first week as well as second week. Witnessing a good occupancy in the cinema halls in second week, the movie registered a business of Rs 26.79 crore. The celluloid made a total collection of Rs 100.39 crore in fourteen days and became the fourth cinema of this year to surpass the 100-crore mark.
Apart from grossing an overall income of Rs 104.44 crore on Indian box office, the second installment of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ also performed excellently in overseas. Hitting about 300 screens in the foreign countries, the film raked a business of Rs 26.10 crore in the international market. Latest box office figures are awaited.
