Badrinath Ki Dulhania 12th Day Collection 2nd Tuesday Occupancy Box Office Report

The second installment of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ completed 12 days at India’s box office. The celluloid ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, which features Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt in the lead role opposite Varun Dhawan, collected Rs 2.25 crore on 12th day. Reporting about 12% occupancy on 2nd Tuesday, the movie showcased consistency in its journey at India’s box office.

The movie, which has been directed by popular Indian filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, remained unaffected of the newly released Bollywood cinemas – ‘Trapped’, ‘Aa Gaya Hero’ and ‘Machine’. The Hindi flick, which is based on the love story of a young boy and girl, totalled an overall collection of Rs 96.39 crore in twelve days. The offering is expected to surpass the 100-crore mark at India’s box office by the end of second week.

Produced by Karan Johar, the celluloid raked an income of Rs 43 crore in the first weekend. The sequel to the film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, in which Alia and Varun collaborated for second time, showcased improvement in its performance in the weekend days  and minted Rs 30.61 crore on those days. Thus, the Bollywood offering gathered a total collection of Rs 73.66 crore in its first week of release.

The film grossed Rs 17.56 crore in first-three days of the second week and exhibited its excellence in divulging the attention of a big number of audiences in the theatres. The celluloid collected Rs 4.21 crore on 2nd Friday and reported growth in its business on the following days. The movie pocketed Rs 5.9 crore and Rs 7.45 crore on 9th and 10th day, respectively. On Monday, the cinema raked Rs 2.72 crore collection and grossed Rs 2.25 crore on Tuesday.

The romantic movie not only performed well in domestic arena but also collected a good response in the foreign countries. Performing awesomely in overseas, the celluloid collected Rs 10.35 crore in North American countries (Canada and US), Rs 1.24 crore in New Zealand, Rs 1.63 crore in Australia, Rs 2.68 crore in United Kingdom, Rs 0.11 crore in Germany, Rs 0.03 crore in Malaysia and Rs 10.03 crore from rest of the world.
